We have three mixed-age classes: Robins, Woodpeckers and Owls. While children work predominantly within their own classes, we provide many opportunities for collaborating across the school.
Each class has a class teacher and a teaching partner who work closely together to meet the individual needs of every child.
Robins Class - Reception and Year 1
Robins’ Class includes children in Reception (Early Years Foundation Stage 2) and Year 1. They have a wonderful outside play area, where they can draw, play games, explore the sand tray and construct large structures. Their role play area is regularly updated to inspire creativity and imaginative play.
Woodpeckers Class - Year 2 and Year 3
Woodpeckers’ Class, based in the main building, includes children in Years 2 and 3. They enjoy engaging in creative learning projects and enhancing their learning with trips offsite, such as such as Stonehenge, the Roman Baths and Langford Lakes.
Owls Class - Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6
Owls’ Class, located next to Robins, includes children in Years 4, 5 and 6. They take on a variety of responsibilities and leadership roles in school, supporting younger children and acting as positive role models. Like the other classes, Owls enjoy learning outdoors, making use of the Secret Garden, Magic Wood and our beautiful local community.
